Classic car storage near Tunbridge Wells
Careful indoor storage for classic and collector cars.
A classic needs more than a dry space. The battery has to be looked after, the engine turned over properly and the tyres moved, with someone keeping an eye on it all. We look after classics of every age at our facility just off the A21 on the Kent and East Sussex border, 10 miles from Tunbridge Wells, from a minimum term of 3 months.
Dry, indoor and under cover
Every car is kept indoors in a secure, alarmed and dry storage area, under a luxury cotton cover. The facility is manned 7 days a week, so there is always someone on hand.
Battery care for older cars
Many classics have little in the way of electronics, so Storage Type A, where the battery is disconnected or taken home by the owner, often suits them. Storage Type B and Storage Type C keep the car connected to your battery conditioner instead. Our post on disconnecting a car battery for storage helps you choose.
Engine runs and tyre care
On Storage Type C the engine is started once a month and run up to temperature, and a private road on site means engines can be run without taking the car onto a public road. Read how often to start a car in storage for why a short start does more harm than good.
The tyres are rolled regularly, so a classic that stands all winter does not settle into flat spots. More in our guide to preventing flat spots on stored tyres.
SORN, tax and the paperwork
A car in storage still needs to be taxed and insured, or declared off the road. Our guide to whether you need to SORN a car in storage covers historic cars and MOTs too.
What classic car storage costs
Storage starts from £30 a week. The minimum term of 3 months is 13 weeks, which comes to Storage Type A £390, Storage Type B £455 and Storage Type C £520. See our pricing page for what each package includes, and winter car storage if you are laying a classic up for the colder months.
Visiting before you decide
You are welcome to look round by arrangement. For security we ask for a form of identification, and during a visit we cannot remove car covers or allow photographs or filming.
